I can’t find a specific drama/movie/actor on ChineseDramaZone.com. Can someone add it?

If a drama/movie/actor is not on the site, you can add it yourself by going to the top bar and clicking “Add New” or “+”. A staff member will review your submission and either approve or reject it. Common reasons for rejection include the drama/movie/actor already being on the site, not being from Chinese speaking areas (Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, … ), or containing inappropriate content.

Why was my submission rejected?

If your submission was rejected, it is likely due to one of the following reasons:

  • The title was already on CDZ under the name you submitted or another commonly known name.
  • The title was not from Chinese speaking areas. Please note that actors from other countries may be accepted if they are active in dramas or movies in China.
  • The content was inappropriate. While CDZ is a database for Dramas/Movies/Actors, it does not allow for pornographic content. Films and dramas with graphic nudity or sex scenes may be accepted, but not straight-up pornographic films.

If you have received a private message from our moderators with more information, please refer to that message for the specific reason for the rejection.

How is the ranking of dramas and movies determined on the CDZ website?

Our dramas and movies are ranked using a complex algorithm that takes into account several factors including how many people added the drama to their collection, the number of likes given by users, the number of views the post has received, and reviews from viewers. This allows us to provide an objective ranking of the most popular and highly rated dramas and movies on the site.

Is there a way to earn rewards?

Yes, the credit point system on ChineseDramaZone.com allows users to earn rewards for their contributions to the site.

User account registered for the community is Subscriber by default. With more than 100 credit points, the account can be upgraded to a Contributor, and with more than 500 points, the account can be upgraded to an Author. When you have enough points, you can contact the administrator via email to upgrade account. Author accounts will have the opportunity to earn money by publishing articles on the site.

Among the articles published by authors on the website, the website will pay authors the article fees for those articles selected by website editors. Selected articles will be permanently saved on the website and can be modified but cannot be deleted. And authors who are keen on sharing will be invited to become community editors as part time jobs and work with administrators to operate and modify the website.
